Day 7: Plans

It's early Saturday morning in beautiful East Texas. As the first day of rifle season, there are thousands of hunters in the woods. We have decided to stay home and do our chores today and go hiking tomorrow at a state park...no hunters allowed in state parks! For the record we have nothing against hunting, we even have a freezer full of deer meat from someone who filled their own freezer but still had tags left. Now, in my opinion, that's when you stop hunting, but....
We had an awesome time last night with our first official family Friday since the schedule change last month. I made pizzas and the kids ate in the living room (gasp!) on their little trays with a plastic tablecloth under them. Of course since I had bothered to take these precautions, no one spilled a thing. We watched GI Joe The Rise of COBRA which was very good if you like those types of movies (we LOVE them).
So today we will be cleaning the house some and starting to get the travel trailer ready for our Thanksgiving camping trip. We may take a bike ride to the park if this foggy weather clears. As usual it goes without saying that we will also catch up on DVRed shows and sit through Pattie's daily rounds of The Lion King which is on right now, Beauty and the Beast, Hulk vs Wolverine and whatever new one she might come up with today!
What are you up to this weekend?

  1. Sounds like a fun weekend. I'm jealous about the hiking - that park is beautiful!

Ryan is working on our rental house today while I get our current house ready for Liam's b-day party tomorrow. Clean, clean, clean then party, party, party!
