The aforementioned "bar area"
The area to the left of the sink is usually full of dirty dishes, along with the big coffeemaker if I have regular coffee that morning
Here is the "catch-all" area of our kitchen. It is to the right of the stove and other than a small sliver of space for food prep (usually cleared by shoving everything else to the brink) it is often cluttered with old mail, magazines we have already read, the boys' schoolwork, toys, and anything else that doesn't yet have a home. The things that belong there are the phone chargers and a nice candle
Next step was the computer desk. A major graveyard for all things that need to be filed away
During this entire process, the things that had a home and needed to go there were piled onto our dining table. This was the only before picture I was brave enough to take
But a few minutes later, we were ready to eat there again
So we cleared off our counters and it looked so nice! Of course, none of the counters look like that anymore, and no, you can't see a picture!

I love getting rid of clutter like that. Such a simple thing, but it makes such a huge difference. I just decluttered my dining table too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm constantly decluttering. For some reason I just can't get my act together to organize as I go.
ReplyDeleteOkay, you can totally tell it was not a couple of minutes between pics of the table since in the first one it is still afternoon outside and in the after pic it's dark! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Wanna come to my house and do the same thing?!?
ReplyDeleteNow your ready for special visitors!!! lol!!!
