So, the realtor came out yesterday to walk through the house and tell us what the local comps were and how much she thinks we should list the house for. It is right in line with what we were hoping so things are starting to roll along. She is pretty confident it will sell quickly and beat out some of the competition because we put in the granite. So now it is more a challenge to declutter and take down pictures and knick-knacks. that is going to be pretty tough on me!
We have never had a move quite like this one before. I am used to a big truck showing up and everything being boxed up by someone else and loaded into the big truck and then it all drives away until we have a place to put it in. But we have never owned a house before either. We have to sell this one before we can buy another one. In a perfect world, someone will buy this house quickly and we can close just after school is out and move everything and immediately start looking for our new place. I am pretty confident about the other end of the move. In my online searching there is a great wealth to choose from. We will just have to decide what we want for sure and make sure our realtor understands not to show us anything that doesn't have x, y, and z.
Last week I read this post from another blog which lead me to the website Pinterest You Are Drunk. Hilarity ensued. But the original post had led me to this schedule post which, while certifiably insane for life, might come in handy for showing the house. If I can modify this to fit our house layout and follow it for a deep clean, then maintain it, there shouldn't be much trouble with people coming in with not much notice. The hard part will be keeping up with it after the novelty wears off. I am pretty good about things when they are new but as it wears on (if it wears on) I get lazy. I used to follow a room by room cleaning method. I think I even posted about it once a long time ago but I can't find it. Anyhoo....
Well, I guess I have dallied here long enough and I should finish up so I can get started cleaning and packing. Wish me luck and send in the search party if you don't hear from me in a few days!!

I used to have a schedule for cleaning too. Ah, the good old days before baby three came along. It's been all catch as catch can since then, in terms of housework.
