Wow, it's been over a week since I posted here!! I've been busy, but not THAT busy. After all, I managed a few posts on the food blog in the last few days. Things are going okay with the new "Daddy schedule" and he seems to be getting the required sleep during the day. Friday we were gone for the morning and early afternoon and then had company for dinner so it was 90 miles per hour all day for me. I did not make it to the grocery store so Saturday morning as soon as everyone had breakfast we headed to get our food stores replenished. When we got back, Daddy was awake!
Sunday we went to the zoo...
and on our way home Daddy sent a text asking us to come back soon. He said he was lonely, but I think he was just bored. Today will be a little harder because we have nowhere to go for distraction. Then again, it's just after 9:30 here and Clay is still asleep. So maybe we can keep quiet long enough.
It has been weird cooking dinner when Jayme isn't home though. Usually when Jayme isn't there for dinner we scrounge around or have leftovers or breakfast-for-dinner. But now, he needs leftovers to take with him for "lunch" at midnight so I cook meals on the weekends with that in mind. Menu changes haven't been too much trouble either though. One nice thing is we can still have a meal together on days Jayme works. When he wakes up, we have a late lunch with him at the table.
Hopefully as I get into the groove with the new schedules around here, I will find my blogging time. I hope all of you will stick around :)

I'm glad the new schedule is working out OK for you guys; I'm sure it'll be easier when school starts.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll definitely be sticking around until you get back in the blogging groove - love reading about what you guys are up to!
We try to do a similar thing with leftover lunches for me... the only issue is my schedule is so erratic that some days I'm in the office (and need to bring a lunch) and others I'm at a site (and have to purchase a lunch for clients and myself).
