House Progress 5/20/12

I finally got to see my house! After our very fun-filled Saturday celebrating the oldest clone, we headed down from our land to the new house. It took us just under 2 hours to get there which is great because we will be able to go a lot more often now that Jayme actually has weekends for himself.
When we got to the new place, we had to go into the model home for some paperwork and I got to pick the colors out. Here is what I chose:

Cabinet color, floor tile and grout, granite counter sample and carpet

I did not get to pick the cabinet color as they had already been ordered for the house. I am not crazy about the color but I think I have lightened it up with the others I chose. It is hard to tell from the pictures. I went with a darker grout for the tile areas because I really wish we had done that her in this house. The grout I chose for the new house is almost the same color as the carpet so I think it will tie the rooms together nicely. Here is the backsplash tile:

Then we got to go into a completed house with the same floorplan. Our house has a few more upgrades than that one did but I got to see the appliances that the house will have in it. It comes with everything! And it is all stainless steel, even the fridge and built-in microwave. The best part though is it comes with a front load washer and dryer!! I am so excited about that. The sales guy did say that the washer and dryer might end up being white instead of stainless, which is totally NOT a problem for me!!
Next it was time to head down the street and check on our place. I love that it's so new you can't even google the address yet and that maps don't show the street at all. Ready for some pics? Scroll on!
