An Addition to the Family

It had to happen eventually I guess, but somehow I always pictured it would happen to me and not my hubby. In any case, we have a new member to the family. Her name is Siri, you may have heard of her before! Yes, Jayme has an iPhone 4S now. His new job paid for it but bargain shopper that he is, he ordered a refurbished one.
Jayme and Siri are off to a slightly rocky start but it is getting better. He is figuring out how she likes to be spoken to and how to ask her things. The refurb phone didn't come with any manual other than the digital version (that may be how they all come though). He's exploring apps that he can use and has already downloaded a few. We were really happy that when he added the Nook app for iPhone, he was able to log into my account and have access to all the things on our Nook! Now I won't feel bad about buying a new book but not letting him take the Nook with him when he travels!
He tried to use the phone as his boarding pass on a flight today after seeing someone else do it a couple weeks ago. But that was before Continental merged with United. Evidently United doesn't have that quite yet. So he had to go get his boarding pass like usual. Out airport is so small that 30 minutes before a flight leaves, the desk personnel have to go handle other things. No problem, just use the kiosk, right? WRONG! The kiosk was turned off!!! So while he was trying to find someone to help him out, his flight left. Talk about pissed?! Jayme was on the warpath with United Airlines. He even filed an official complaint. What is the point of the kiosks if they are EVER turned off?
Anyhoo, if you have a favorite app, leave a comment about it. He's not a big game player but if it can help pass the time in airports and such he may be interested. And hopefully I can get a little Siri of my own when my cell contract is up for renewal :)
