Random Tuesday

It's been a while since I have been home on a Tuesday! Today I would have turned down any calls though because my Pattie-bug is sick. Sick enough to go to the doctor later today. Ever since the New Year from Hell saga, I am a little more gun-shy with her. She's doing a weird fast breathing thing and her little heart is really thumping so I think we will just go see if we need another round of Zithromax and albuterol.

To the lady at the Walmart pharmacy counter yesterday: I understand that sometimes in order to get meds for your sick child, you have to take the sick child to the store with you. However, if said sick child is prone top vomiting, please bring a receptacle with you. I really can't say as I blame the lady behind the counter at whom you were SHRIEKING for her trash can for not giving it to you. I wouldn't want to deal with your kids' puke either. I realize it was a no-win situation. He was either gonna blow in the trash or on the floor, but YIKES.

I posted some of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes on the food blog this morning. No pictures though because I wasn't actually making them. I will take pics when I do make them and add them in after. I can't wait!!

I made a whole mess of pumpkin treats yesterday. Two Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Breads, some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Granola Bars and some Pumpkin Pie Spice Chex Mix. Yummy. You can find recipes for all those on my food blog :)

Pattie is at the age now where she wants everything she sees on a commercial. She has also come to an understanding about Christmas coming soon, and the gift aspect there. Should be interesting.

Our new favorite kid movie around here is How to Train Your Dragon. It is hilarious and the main dragon reminds us of Tufaan so much that it makes it even funnier.

Time is marching on here. Soon I won't be allowed to roll my eyes at the Christmas decorations that are up because it will actually be time for them. I will get excited about that after I have my belly full of turkey and dressing!

Happy Tuesday to you :)

  1. We had our first "just because it looked fun on the commercial doesn't mean you'll like it" lesson with my daughter's birthday this year. She DESPERATELY wanted a Baby Alive doll, so we got her one. Within two days it was at the bottom of her toy bin, and a week later it was taken to the basement (where all the unloved toys get taken to by my wife to make room) never to be asked for again. We gave it to charity a few months later.
