Call me crazy but we are going to try one last time this summer to go somewhere! I mentioned in my last post that we are heading to Houston this weekend to see my in-laws new house. Our trip happens to coincide with our niece's 17th birthday party so we will get to see most of that side of the family which is great! We are also leaving the boys when we come home on Monday. They will bounce around between Nana & Papa's house and their aunts & uncles who live in the area. We'll get them back on Saturday. Now if only it will all work out that well with no one getting sick or hurt. (please, please, pretty please!!)
Yesterday I walked into our bathroom and was greeted by a small lake forming in the vicinity of our toilet. After shutting off the water and draining the bowl and tank I discovered a crack running all the way down the tank in the back. We are trying a patch job first but if that doesn't work we will have to get a new tank at least or a new toilet if we can't find a separate tank for this one. I'm just glad I was here. I don't think it had happened too long before I went in or there would have been a lot more water. I think in the future when we leave the house for a trip somewhere, along with setting the thermostat higher/lower and turning the hot water heater off, we will shut off the water valves in the bathrooms. That would have been catastrophic to come home to after a few days!
I think I caused some confusion in the last post about how long before school starts here when I said there was only one more week. What I meant was that after my husband's schedule changes, if you look at our calendar there is only one more week in August with nothing else planned in it before school starts the 23rd. So if we wanted to go anywhere, that one week will be our only chance. I can't believe summer feels like it's over and there's still another month to go before school starts. Better dig out the supply lists for the boys and start buying things we need. Jayme's hospital bills are coming in. So far, it's more than Pattie's (which we are still paying too). It's Chaos, baby, Embrace it!!

Sounds like a lot of fun for the boys. I remember when my cousins used to visit from NWT; they'd bounce from house to house for sleepovers too. It was fun.
