- Spring Break was fun, even though Jayme was not home with us. We had a fun day with some local friends, we went to the zoo, Houston Livestock Show, IKEA, my parents house, had dinner with Jayme's step-mom and found out my brother and his family were coming for Easter!
- Easter was super exciting and fun, even though Jayme was not able to be with us. My brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew are all so much fun! We spent the whole weekend with them at my folks' house, then they all came to our house on that Monday for dinner.
- Jayme was finally able to come home for 4 days and we crammed what we could into them. We went to see The Croods which was very cute, the boys stayed at the theater to see GI Joe while Pattie and I went shopping.
- We made the final payment on our land!! We didn't include it in our Dave Ramsey-esque payoff scheme before but we have always paid a little extra on it. For the last few months we have thrown all the extra money at it to get it off the books. If someone hadn't bought a motorcycle, we would be debt-free except for the house, but we will throw all that extra and the bike and have it paid off very soon.
- I have had a few fun times with my friend, Ashley. She is brand new here too so we are exploring the area together. We have gone to Trader Joe's, some fun lunch places, World Market, Sur la Table, Sam Moon, Teacher Heaven, and a lot of little shops that one of us hears about and wants to try. Always more fun to go with someone!!
- I have eleventy thousand projects in mind but have not started any of them! Most of them involve pictures going up on the walls. I did finally hang our family portrait collection which only made me realize we need a new one! I also have some cleaning out of closets and toys I need to do.
- Pattie has been home the past two days. When she got home from school Wednesday, there was a note from her teacher that she had seemed really out of sorts and was crying on and off but wouldn't or couldn't say why. She told me her back, neck and legs were hurting. I took her temp and it was 101.4! That would make anyone out of sorts. We went to see her pediatrician yesterday to get the stupid note for school. She does have a classmate who was out with the flu so they tested her for that, it was negative. Her lungs, ears and throat were clear but she has continued to run fever. We were supposed to spend the weekend with my mother-in-law and go take Bluebonnet pictures but I don't think it is going to work out. We'll see what her temp does today.
- Raley changed the passcode on his phone the other night and the next morning he couldn't get it to unlock. So I spent over an hour on two different phone calls with Apple support yesterday and had to completely wipe his phone, then messed up my own phone and had to restore it TWICE which took another hour each time and now my iTunes is kind of messed up. First World problems, I know but it really frustrated me!
- One of my friends has started a Book Club and we met for the first time last night. I have never been in one before and I am excited to get together with ADULTS once a month and
drink winediscuss a book. We chose The Great Gatsby as our first selection and will meet to discuss just before the movie comes out, then go see the movie! - I used a lot of exclamation points in this post. I think I am overcompensating for the fact that no one else will find this interesting! !
