After a wacky few days battling another round of stomach bug for Pattie, I have some random thoughts I would like to get out. Take a gander, if you dare!!
I had to take my child in to see her doctor for the sole purpose of getting a note to give the school and I am a little pissed about it. There are some things doctors cannot fix or treat and just take time to get over (colds, stomach bugs) and I resent having to spend money taking her in just so the school excuses her absence.
We have these pretty windows in our living room....
We can sit on the couch and watch the clouds go by, or the planes....
And on nights when the moon shines brightly, we can see it too....
But on a sunny day from about 10 to 2, there are rectangles of sun that move across TV and I don't like them very much then. So we are wanting to get some motorized shades for them.
I have been buying Greek yogurt lately. I am particularly fond of the Oikos Cafe Latte one. The Oikos Organic Chocolate one made me want to gag though. It looked (and smelled) like it has been eaten once already, if you catch my drift!
The weekly challenge on the food blog is going okay, except for last week when Pattie's sickness blocked me. I will make that recipe later this week though.
Trying to plan some fun things for Spring Break. Lots of things on our list, not sure how many we will get to. I will be sure to take lots of pics and notes to post a blog about our adventures though.
I decided to go ahead and decorate for St. Patrick's Day because I will have to take the stuff down and put up Easter right away. I want to enjoy my green for a bit!
I haven't had any alcohol since last Thursday. I was too scared that I would either catch the stomach bug and throw it up, or that I would need to take Pattie to the doctor in the middle of the night. Just my paranoia since Jayme is out of town.
My great-aunt Dot passed away yesterday morning. She was the last of Daddy's parents' generation on that side of the family. She was a sweet lady who raised five daughters. I know there was a big party in heaven when she got there and was reunited with her husband of 65 years(Uncle Bunk).
I haven't slept very well for a very long time and that combined with my point in the cycle has made me very prone to tearing up. A St. Jude's commercial the other day made me bawl like a baby!
Okay, I think my brain has a little more room now! I have an appointment tomorrow for a LASIK consultation. I have needed new glasses/contacts for a while but decided to see how much it would cost to just be done with them completely. I'll keep you posted :)

Poor Pattie. I hope she's feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the loss of your aunt.
Matt's that way about drinking alcohol too. He has maybe one or two beers a week typically, so not much anyway. But if he's home with Zachariah by himself, he doesn't have any for the same reasons as you. Just in case.
Ugh...I hear you on the school note thing. Nothing like having to pay a co-pay just to get a stupid doctor's note!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you guys do with your Spring Break. The kids will want to do lots of fun stuff, but I don't want to deal with crowds (like at the rodeo) so I am drawing a blank on that one!
