6 Hours!!

Yesterday was the first official day of summer vacation around here. I slept until the glorious *dripping sarcasm* hour of 7:30 am when Pattie and Clay both decided it was time to get up. Raley slept until 9 am lucky bugger and after the boys had eaten breakfast I set them on their first task of the day...cleaning their hellhole gateway to Tartarus hovel bedroom. It looked like this:

I'm sure that to some of you that is a horrifying sight. Believe me, it's no picnic for me either but it is their responsibility to keep it clean. In all fairness, they did have some help messing it up over the weekend and it never really got cleaned afterwards, but still, if I have to clean it for them, then everything I pick up goes bye-bye forever the end. In any case, in that state it represented about 1 1/2 to 2 hours of work to get clean and then we would have the whole afternoon to play or even go somewhere fun.

IT TOOK THEM 6 FLIPPING HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But now it's clean, vacuumed and hopefully will stay that way long enough for me to forgive them get over it not freak out the next time!
