Of a Random Nature

It's Tuesday again so let's get random, baby!!

*Today is going to feel like Monday to me with yesterday's holiday. Turned out to be a 4 day weekend which was kind of cool.

*It's 26 degrees this morning which means that I will have to go out and get the chickens' water and put it in the bathtub to de-ice it. Hopefully I will only have to do this once today.

*We had so much fun playing in the snow on Friday. It was very pretty too until it started to melt and then it was muddy and brown.

*I got exactly what I wanted for Valentine's Day! Loads of chocolate and Jayme made waffles. As an added bonus, instead of a Hallmark card, he wrote me a letter about how wonderful I am and how much he loves me. It was very cool! The boys also made me cards and I have to say I love those cards more than any perfect sentiment you can buy at the store (although I had seen one with Edward on the front and it said, "Here's to spending Valentine's Day with your favorite Cullen" and it played Claire De Lune...but I got a LOVE LETTER!)

*I get so irritated when I go to buy something I have been waiting to get and it's gone. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me? Yesterday we went to spend the kids money from Nana and the things that Raley and Pattie were going to get were both out of stock. ARGH!

*Pattie has started skipping naps and I am not sure I'm ready for that yet. She still isn't sleeping too great at night either. Lately at night when I go to put her back in bed she opens her eyes and says, "Nope, not my bed." But then she usually falls asleep again. It's funny though...I complain about my lack of sleeping but when it's the middle of the night and we are snuggled up together I just breathe her in and it makes me smile. I know her sleep issues are totally my doing and it's up to me to stop them but I just want to hold on to that little part sometimes too. It's knowing she is our last baby and she is such an AWESOME snuggler.

*It's only three more weeks until Spring Break. It won't even be Spring yet though...
We have decided to go down and visit family this year instead of travelling somewhere. We have a couple things planned to do but mostly we are going to hang out and really visit. So often we go down for an event and everything centers on that and we don't get to just be there, if you know what I mean. I am looking forward to it very much.

*I am thinking of doing a recipe blog. I have my first post all mapped out in my head. It even has pictures to go with it a la the Pioneer Woman. I may try a few out on my regular blog first though to see what everyone thinks.

* That's about all my addled mind can come up with this morning folks...how about you?
