I was reading a hilarious post the other day by Mommy Wants Vodka about her fascination with the TV show "Dexter" and how he is her newest TV husband (Parental Warning: Explicit Lyrics!!!!!!!). It got me thinking about my own imaginary boyfriends. I won't say "husbands" because my real one may get a little upset and, let's face it, he writes my checks...figuratively speaking!
Of course, first and foremost, my one true love is EDWARD CULLEN!! Now he isn't a TV boyfriend but a movie one. I think Aunt Becky will forgive me for straying from the TV realm for my post though. Yes, I am one of those crazy grown women who loves all things "Twilight" from the books to the movies to the characters and the actors who portray them. In defense of said women, the author of the books was a 30-something stay-at-home mother of 3 young children when she started writing. Sound familiar? I may not write books but two out of three ain't bad, right? Also, the basic storyline is falling in love in high school...again, familiar at all? Sound like someone you might know? Someone who happens to be typing the words you are reading right this very moment? So for me it wasn't a stretch to believe the love story and I have always had a thing for vampires so the rest is history.
Speaking of my thing for vampires, my TV boyfriend #1 is any character played by David Boreanaz. Whether he is playing Angel, Agent Booth, or barely-glimpsed-extra-in-bathroom-scene, he is very fun to look at!!
TV boyfriend #2 is Jax Teller on "Sons of Anarchy". He is played by Charlie Hunnam, who interestingly enough is British. That kind of ratchets my feelings up a notch or two.
My TV boyfriend #3 is Patrick Jane from "The Mentalist" and played by Aussie mega-hottie Simon Baker...YUM!!
I could probably add several more but I don't want you to think I'm that kind of girl so let's leave it at this shall we? So I pose the question to you now... Who is your movie/TV boyfriend? You can use "husband" if you want to!

My TV boyfriend is Coach Eric Taylor, played by Kyle Chandler (swoon), on "Friday Night Lights." Luckily, my real life husband loves the show, so he doesn't mind that I'm practically drooling the entire time we're watching. Love the character and the actor!!!
ReplyDeleteOh baby, you know its all about EDWARD!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteSimon Baker... swoon...
ReplyDeleteMy TV boyfriend is Josh Charles, who played Knox Overstreet in Dead Poets Society (20 years ago!) and is now Will Gardner on The Good Wife.
