Happy Birthday Princess of the Pants

Four years ago, I heard a doctor say words I wasn't expecting. He said, "Oh! Hair!" I remember thinking, "What hair? Whose hair? Was I expected to shave?" It never occurred to me that he could see my baby so soon after telling me that it would be a while and to "try and stay comfortable and are you sure you don't want any meds?" My boys were born cueballs and remained steadfastly bald for months; not requiring haircuts until they were 18 months old. My daughter was born with a full head of black hair.
These days she has a full head of long dark blonde/light brown hair. I am never sure what color to call it, but it looks like honey in the sunlight and it smells like heaven to me. I'm learning to french braid...
Pattie loves to dance and she loves music. She has her own playlist on YouTube. It's all her favorite songs. As of today she has the following songs on there:
"Mean" by Taylor Swift
"Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland
"Stay" by Sugarland
"Brown Chicken Brown Cow" by Trace Adkins
"Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri
"Stronger" by Sara Evans
"Louisiana Saturday Night" by Mel McDaniel
"Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy" by Big and Rich
"The House That Built Me" by Miranda Lambert
"Amos Moses" by Jerry Reed
"American Pie" by Don McLean
"Rollin in the Deep" by Adele
"Just Can't Get Enough" by The BlackEyed Peas
"Honeybee" by Blake Shelton
"The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars
She sings along with all of them and mimics the dancing in a few of the videos. She sings a lot of the time, either one of these songs or something she made up or something from a Disney movie.
She quotes lines from other movies too. She says, "Come with me if you want to live!" in a funny voice meant to be the Terminator. She uses a funny drawl-type voice to say her favorite line from Avatar, "Welcome to Pandora where everything that walks, crawls or squats in the mud wants to KILL you and eat your eyes for jujubees!"
She's just as comfortable dressing up like a princess as she is pretending to be Hulk. She especially likes to combine the two sides, like so:
Ballerina tutu--CHECK, Light Saber--CHECK, War Face--Oh, yeah!!
She loves the movie Tangled and her favorite princess is Rapunzel. She doesn't like Rapunzel mother (the fake one not the real one) in the movie except for one thing. When Mother Gothel says, "I love you." Rapunzel answers, "I love you more." and her mother says, "I love you most." Pattie likes to do this back and forth but she insists on being the one who says "I love you most." It's funny.
She runs a tight ship. Woe be unto those who cross her! She makes us laugh every day and is the sweetest little girl I have ever known. I am so very thankful for her and for the way she completes our family. Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Girl! We love you!!
