"New" House

Well, I took some new pictures this morning, so here is a short tour of our "new" house! First up, this new thingy I got for our front door area.

We used to have a mirror thingy that had pegs where we kept keys but it was awkwardly high and we wanted to change it out for something else. I found this at a reasonable price and the color matches the new furniture!
As you look into the living room, you may find that even with new furniture, certain people like the floor!

Oh, well! You can't please everyone all the time I guess. Here is our comfy new couch:

It reclines on both ends and the middle folds down to a table:

In the picture, the right side is fully reclined. From the side you can see how it uses the new sliding technology to recline fully without touching the wall:

Above the couch we used to have a large painting. We switched it with our family portraits wall, so now it looks like this:

Here is the loveseat. Both sides recline and they also rock independently from each other. Very cozy!

We haven't finished the area above the mantle yet but so far we have added this new element. We believe it speaks volumes as to what is most important to our family.

 We put the large painting where our family portraits used to be and moved the computer desk to that corner of the living room. I'm liking it very much!

If you are standing in this spot and turn a quarter turn to the left, you will see the dining area:

We moved some of the things that used to hang above the mantle to this area of the house.

We've moved just about everything that stays out on the counter to a different place than it used to be. That's been a BIG adjustment for me! For example, the microwave used to be over by the stove:

But it seems to work here too! We didn't change much around the fridge except moving the toaster oven up there when it isn't in use. (It used to be on top of the microwave)

You can see at the bottom of that picture that we haven't put our baseboards back on yet. We will! I have some more workspace now by the stove which is nice. Still getting used to it though!

Just about the only things that weren't relocated are my roosters. Although I am not 100% sure they are back just like they were. Luckily for me, my OCD hasn't been bothered enough to try to figure it out for sure!
