When the temperature starts to rise to summertime levels (which happens about May 1st every year) we start thinking about when we will go swimming for the first time. We are lucky enough to live about 15 minutes from Tyler State Park which has a very nice swimming area and that was our destination this past Sunday.
On our way to the swimmin hole!!
The bathing beauty:
Pattie loves the water and kicks furiously to get where she wants to go. She doesn't need the pool noodle to stay afloat as her life vest/swim vest keeps her up, but she likes it because it's pink.
The boys like to use their goggles and look under the water for rocks and shells. We also bring diving rings and toys for them to find in the water.
Raley is underwater a great deal of the time.
It's kind of funny that our kids have only been in a swimming pool a handful of times. They are used to swimming in lakes and ponds and it's always funny when we go to a pool and they say, "Mommy look!! You can see the bottom!"

Both my kids LOVE swimming. They do, however, have more pool exposure than yours, so they aren't as fascinated. :)
