- I am first and foremost thankful for my amazing family. I have a wonderful husband who is still my boyfriend. He is my best friend and my anchor. We have these three people who live with us that are so special and fun and fascinating! I can't imagine what my life would be like without any of them in it.
- I continue to be thankful for my parents as well. I don't think there are two more supportive, loving, caring, kind, decent people in the entire world and for them to be my parents sometimes seems more than I deserve. Mom has always been my closest friend and I know that Daddy and Jayme being so close has made our marriage even stronger.
- I am very thankful that my husband earns a living that is enough for me to be able to stay home with our kids during the important preschool years. We have never needed daycare and to tell you the truth I'm a little apprehensive about what my life will be like once Pattie starts school!
- I am also thankful that Jayme pushed us to become debt-free. We have our mortgage and our land payment and that's it. For the first time we have some money in savings and some stability in today's scary economy.
- I am thankful to live in a sweet little country town, where my kids can talk about guns without the school going into lockdown. I can bring homemade treats to school for their birthdays. I often see their teachers at Walmart because they live here too. It says a great deal to me that people who grew up here, went off to school, then came back here to work and live and raise their own families.
- I am thankful for good neighbors who are treasured friends. We have wonderful families on either side of us (that would be y'all Hill and Chambers families!) and a sweet couple down the street who we adore (howdy Ken and Karen!).
- Finally today, I am thankful for my sweet dogs. Luke has given us 9 1/2 years of fun and joy that only a dog can give. Ginny has been here for a little over 4 months now and we really have more fun than should be allowed. I know there are people out there who don't care for dogs, or they might prefer cats, but honestly?! There is nothing better than seeing your kids rolling around on the floor with the dogs or curled up next to them on the couch.
